Armenian Valley itinerary: in the footsteps of Armenians and Byzantines in Ionian Calabria

Ferruzzano, with its ghost village, is the starting point for this itinerary that leads to Bruzzano Vecchio and the Rocca degli Armeni, Bruzzano Zeffirio, the small village of Staiti where the Grecanic language is still spoken, the evocative ruins of the church of Santa Maria de' Tridetti, and the urban archaeological park of Brancaleone Vetus. The journey ends by the sea, in Brancaleone Marina on the Jasmine Riviera, a favorite nesting place for Caretta Caretta turtles.
